Stanley Lim has been photographing since 1967 while he was in High School (Chadwick School, Palos Verdes). In his Senior year at Chadwick, Stan was the main photographer for the Dolphin Yearbook. Many of the pictures in the yearbook was photographed by Stan. This passion for photography has continued since then eventhough his educational and professional background has been in Electrical Engineering. Stan attended the University of Southern California as an Electrical Engineering student. Stan served his country in the Air Force for 8 years. In his extensive career as an Electrical Engineer, Stan has been involved in many innovative designs that has revolutionized electronics and computers: Laptop Computer, Multi-channel sound cards, high resolution graphic cards, Video Conferencing, LCD HDTV, Powerline Networks, etc.
By the end of 2000, Stan re-located back to Southern California after spending over 20 years in Silicon Valley developing products for the Computer Industry. The year 2001 was when the Silicon Valley stock bubble burst. Stan has continued consulting for the Electronics Industry after relocating to Southern California. Stan obtained one of the first prototype digital camera while he was in Silicon Valley in 1998. Before this first digital camera, Stan mainly used a Nikon F3 for his photography. Stan developed and printed many of his photos in those days. Finally in 2000, Stan obtained one of the first commercially available digital camera, Olympus IS-1. Starting in the year 2001, Stan began to regard photography as a commercial viability after being requested by many of his friends to shoot wedding pictures, etc. for them. Stan continued to shoot pictures as requested by his friends and relatives. Finally, in 2006, in conjunction with his other business, OK Karaoke and Electronics, www.okising.com, Stan began to commercialize his photography by offering a One-Stop solution for Parties and Celebrations.
